The national/international outage of Canvas has been resolved; however, Ohio State’s instances remain in maintenance mode out of an abundance of caution while we assess any potential impact to campus services and data. This means CarmenCanvas and Canvas for Professional and Continuing Education continue to be temporarily unavailable while Ohio State IT reviews the impact of the cybersecurity incident of Instructure, the vendor behind Canvas. This extra caution aligns with the timing of our finals and academic year closing.
We expect to bring the Ohio State's Canvas instances back online as we complete each evaluation. We realize the outage is very disruptive, but we appreciate your continued patience. We will continue to monitor the situation and will update our System Status page as we learn more.
The Ohio State University (Columbus, Lima, Mansfield, Marion, Newark and the Agricultural Technical Institute, Wooster, Ohio) is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission as a degree-granting institution at the associate, baccalaureate, master's, professional and doctoral levels.
Additional programs offered by different college programs of the university may have specific or individual accreditation for their courses offered through Professional and Continuing Education.
