Why was scarletcanvas.osu.edu retired?
To improve the learner experience, Ohio State has transitioned to a new, centralized registration system for all noncredit certificates and professional learning programs. This change makes it easier to browse, register for, and manage courses in one place.
Do I need to create a new account?
Yes. Even if you previously registered through ScarletCanvas, you’ll need to create a new account on continuinged.osu.edu to enroll in future offerings.
Can I still access my current courses?
Yes. If you enrolled through scarletcanvas.osu.edu before June 30, 2025, you can continue to access your active Canvas courses using the same login.
Where do I go to register for new courses?
All new noncredit course registrations are now handled through continuinged.osu.edu, Ohio State’s central gateway for professional and continuing education.
Will the Canvas platform change?
No. Course content will still be delivered in Canvas. The only change is how you register and manage your enrollment.
